✍🏼 Pre-Match Ramblings
In our final game in the US this Pre-Season, we take on another Premier League Big 6 team in Liverpool. I understand that matches like this draw big crowds in the US, but part of me feels very uneasy about playing such teams in Pre-Season. I would much rather see us take on teams we wouldn’t usually get to play, or at least, not direct rivals for Top 4 or the League Title. But whatever, it’s still nice that US fans get to see big games like this.
As you can see above, Liverpool are missing an awful lot of their heavy hitters, so I would expect a win here for Arsenal. Again, I hope to see more of Nwaneri who seems to be getting more and more comfortable playing with the first team, and doesn’t look too out of place. I imagine he will find it hard to see this many minutes after the Pre-Season, so he needs to make the most of it.
It might be a bit too soon for our new Italian stud to make an appearance, and if he does, it certainly won’t be a start. I wouldn’t be too suprised to see him as a late or second half sub just to start bedding him into the playing squad.
