✍🏼 Pre-Match Ramblings

The facts above tell you all you need to know about this game, and the salient fact is this: Arsenal should win this game comfortably. Will we? Who knows. Arsenal have been very unpredictable this season, but I’m not sure we’re at a point where we would lose to Everton at home.

As our injuries keep coming, so to do the solutions. Kiwior is growing in confidence and ability with every game that he plays in the stead of Gabriel. MLS had an excellent showing at left back midweek against Monaco, and you have to imagine that Arteta will be tempted to hand him another start at left back with Timber returning to his best position at right back. Our right side looks far better with Timber (or the injured White) at right back, and our left side looked brilliant with Merino and MLS, with Rice anchoring the midfield. It really felt like we found something that worked against Monaco, and I personally and hoping to see it again.

I expect to see Havertz return to his #9 position over the out of form Jesus, who had a pretty poor showing in the Champions League. Nothing is going in for him, and he isn’t lighting up the world outside of the box either. The left wing position is one that seems to change every game. It’s hard to call who will start each game between Trossard and Martinelli, whatever one starts, we seem to be lacking on the left.
