✍🏼 Pre-Match Ramblings

Arsenal face a tough test away in the North West (the birthplace of the hightest percentage of Premier league referees) after an absolutely appalling showing against one of the worst sides the top flight has ever seen. Even though we got the three points, no player or fan was happy with the game against Wolves, so a response on the pitch should be expected here.

Trips to Everton haven’t been easy for Arsenal in recent years; the most goals we have managed at Everton since 2017 is 2. We have only won 1 of our last 7 away leage games against Everton, which paints a pretty bad picture ahead of the weekend, especially given the state of our squad.

Everton have been enjoying life under David Moyes, a manager to which Arteta (self-admittedly) owes a lot of his managerial style to. Arteta named David Moyes in his Premier League manager Mount Rushmore which tells you all you need to know about the level of resepct Arteta has for his old boss. They sit in 9th place on 24 points, just 2 points off of Palace who are 5th. A push for Europe is absolutely on the cards for Everton this season, and facing an out of form Arsenal at home is an opportunity they will be relishing.
