⚽ Everton Form: 🟥🟧🟩🟩🟧

⚔️ Head-to-Head:

  • Arsenal 2–0 Everton (Mar 14, 2026, Premier League)
  • Everton 0–1 Arsenal (Dec 20, 2025, Premier League)
  • Everton 1–1 Arsenal (Apr 5, 2025, Premier League)
  • Arsenal 0–0 Everton (Dec 14, 2024, Premier League)
  • Arsenal 2–1 Everton (May 19, 2024, Premier League)

📖 Match Facts:

  • Everton haven’t won at the Emirates since a 0-1 in April 2021. The goal was a Leno own goal, with German playing behind a backline of Xhaka, Mari, Holding, and Chambers (good fucking lord)
  • Max Dowman became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history in this fixture last season as he scored a last minute goal to seal a 2-0 victory. Gyokeres scored first in the 89th minute to send us 10 points clear (temporarily) of Man City*.
  • In 20 years as a manager and 24 away matches, David Moyes has only beaten Arsenal once In North London. This was 2023 where goals from Soucek and Mavrapanos gave West Ham a 0-2 victory (it would have been 0-3 if Raya hadn’t saved a penalty in the 96th minute) over Arsenal at The Emirates Stadium.

📸 Previously in this fixture…

Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 at the Emirates back in March with a late winner from Gyokeres and a record breaking goal from Max Dowman deep into stoppage time. He became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history and would go on to become the youngest Premier League winner in history.

✍🏼 Pre-Match Ramblings
Following a thrilling midweek trip to Munich, the league champions return home to take on Everton as we look to keep the pressure on Man City*, and fend off a very strong Brighton side who trail us by 2 points with a trip to Anfield looming for the South Coast side.

Everton find themselves firmly in the middle pack as they are tied on points with Brentford and Leeds, and are within 2 points of Hull, Ipswich, Newcastle, and Villa: a bad weekend for Everton could see them drop into the bottom half. Despite this position, they only lost their first game of the season in all comps last week to Chelsea, so this isn’t a side that’s going to be easy to beat. Expect a low to mid block with a crowded midfield, which is a set up we have come up against very often as of late. Unfortunately with our set pieces output running completely dry at the moment, we are having to grind out wins with what are often times pretty torrid games of football.

Our laboured method of breaking down low blocks is only going to be more prominent with the lack of Bukayo Saka, who hobbled off the pitch after less than a dozen minutes against Bayern Munich. The two wingers pick themselves for this game in Eze and Madueke, so Moyes will be prepared. It also leaves us very light with bench options up front; the only name that springs to mind to play on the wing is Max Dowman. Now, Dowman enjoyed a dream come true in this exact fixture last season, and I do expect him to get minutes tomorrow, if not only to warm him up of his almost guaranteed start agains tFleetwood Town on Tuesday.

The midfield selection continues to be an interesting one. Zubimendi returned to the matchday squad against Bayern but didn’t get any minutes. The Spaniard hasn’t started a single league game this season, and I don’t see that changing tomorrow. The toss up is between Myles and Bruno G. It’s a common opinion online that Rice and Bruno haven’t exactly gelled as a pairing yet, and Myles seems the better fit over 90 minutes to play alongside #41. For me, I’m starting Myles and subbing on Bruno later on depending on the game state, but I’m not Mikel Arteta, so what do I know.
